Had a relaxing stay! Loved the zoo-themed decor throughout the hotel and the delicious breakfast spread that had something for everyone. Had a bit of a mix-up with an early check-in fee, but overall, it didn’t spoil the fun. Great location near public transport too!

Room had this lekker Africa vibe, felt like a mini bush lodge! Brekkie was totally on point with so many options. Dined at the restaurant and the food? Wow, definitely a big hit!

Bar staff were a bit slow, took ages to get served, so not ideal for quick drinks.

I stayed for 3 nights in the Deluxe Double Room. It had air conditioning, a minibar, and a super comfy bed. The room was really clean with a spacious walk-in shower. Free spa access was a nice plus, especially the sauna and fitness centre. Staff were super helpful and friendly throughout my stay.

Fabulous zoo-themed experience

I recently stayed for 1 night as a solo traveler, and I loved the hotel's zoo theme which truly brings the spirit of the nearby Hagenbeck Zoo into the experience. The room was clean and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and nice decor that piqued my interest. I enjoyed the fantastic breakfast spread, including an intriguing honeycomb block, which added a unique touch. One thing I'd like to see improved is the availability of tea or coffee making facilities in the room.

I had a boss time here! The decor's well unique, really gives you that African safari vibe. Breakfast was spot on with all the scrummy options, but the bar could’ve done with a bit more staff on, it felt a bit overrun. a right sound stay.

The Economy Class Room was spacious and had this unique African safari decor that I loved. The bed was super comfy, making it easy to crash after a long day. Plus, the cleanliness was on point. I wished there were coffee-making facilities in the room, which would’ve been a nice touch.

everything was amazin! the room decor was super comfy and loved the sliding door for the bathroom. breakfast buffet was really good, and the bar staff were awesome! so easy to get into the city and the zoo is right there. free minibar is a nice touch when you don’t get daily cleaning.

Numerous issues impacted the overall experience, the shower leaked continuously, some fire alarms went off early in the morning leading to an evacuation, and maintenance seemed lacking with poorly functioning doors and odd smells when returning to the room. Poor quality soap in the bathroom gave a cheap impression, and breakfast could greatly improve with fresher items and more variety.

It was just a nice choice for a weekend pause in Hamburg with great value for the money. The unique mini bar option was a fun touch that I hadn't encountered before, allowing me to choose between having the room cleaned or enjoying refreshments on the house. Try to catch the breakfast early for more variety on your plate.
